Bank Account Opening Officer Job: A Bank Account Opening Officer is responsible for facilitating the setup of new individual and corporate accounts, ensuring compliance with KYC (Know Your Customer) and AML (Anti-Money Laundering) regulations. They verify documentation accuracy, process applications in the system, and provide customer service.

Roles & Responsibilities:

We are a UAE‑based consulting firm specializing in company formation and corporate services, and we are looking for a highly experienced Bank Account Opening Officer. This role requires strong hands‑on experience in coordinating with UAE banks, relationship managers, compliance teams, and clients to successfully open corporate bank accounts.

The ideal candidate may come from:

  • A UAE bank (corporate banking or relationship manager background), or
  • A consulting / corporate services/company formation firm handling client bank account applications.
  • Manage the entire process of opening corporate bank accounts for clients across major UAE banks.
  • Coordinate directly with bank relationship managers, compliance teams, and bankers to ensure smooth processing.
  • Communicate closely with clients to collect required KYC documents, application forms, and company documents.
  • Prepare, review, and submit all bank account opening files in accordance with UAE banking requirements.
  • Maintain excellent follow‑up with banks and provide clients with regular updates.
  • Advise clients professionally on bank requirements, timelines, and best practices.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with banking partners.
  • Account Processing: Accurately open, maintain, and close personal/corporate accounts (CIFs) and manage digital onboarding portals.
  • Compliance & Risk: Verify documentation for compliance with SBP, regulatory, and bank internal policies.
  • Documentation: Ensure proper document collection, KYC, and record-keeping for audit purposes.
  • Customer Service: Guide customers through the onboarding process and resolve inquiries.
  • Operations & Efficiency: Process tasks within defined Turnaround Time (TAT) and assist with audits.
  • Sales Support: Promote bank products and meet sales referral targets. 

“Desired Candidate Profile”

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in the UAE in any of the following: Corporate banking or as a banker handling business clients, Relationship manager in a UAE bank, or Bank account opening coordinator within a company formation/consulting firm
  • Proven track record coordinating with UAE banks for corporate bank account openings.
  • Strong knowledge of compliance, KYC, due diligence, and UAE corporate documentation.
  • Excellent client management, communication, and follow‑up skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple clients and deadlines simultaneously.

Requirements & Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field.
  • Experience: 2–3 years of relevant banking or operations experience.
  • Skills: Strong attention to detail, proficiency in MS Office, and excellent communication skills.
  • Knowledge: Deep understanding of bank products, operational procedures, and AML regulations. 

Work Environment:

  • Usually based in a Centralized Processing Unit (CPU) or a branch.
  • Full-time, requiring high accuracy and efficiency.
