Applications are invited from eligible candidates for recruitment against following vacant posts in PSDP Project “Procurement/ Manufacture of 230 Passenger Coaches” located at Pakistan Railways Carriage Factory Islamabad.
The posts are to be filled purely on contract basis initially for a period of two years on Standard Pay Package 2022 for PSDP funded Project staff as per eligibility criteria mentioned against each
Eligibility Criteria :
- Matric with Science (at least 2 Division)
- 1 or 2 years Diploma in welding from Technical Institute recognized by Provincial Board of Technical Education.
- Preferably trained From Pakistan Welding Institute Islamabad or from any Govt recognized Institution.
- At least 03 years experience in welding.

AGE Relaxation:
General Age Relaxation in upper age limit on the closing date for receipt of applications is admissible as per Government Rules.
The age of candidates belonging to the Scheduled Castes, Buddhist Community, Sindh Urban/Rural & Baluchistan is relaxed for 3 years in addition to general relaxation.
In case of Ex: Serviceman, the upper age limit is relaxable to the extent of 15 years or the number of years actually served in the Armed Forces of Pakistan, whichever is less
TERMS & CONDITIONS
1) Application form can be downloaded online from Pakistan Railways website www.pakrail.gov.pk or collected from office of the Assistant Personnel Officer, Pakistan Railways Carriage Factory, Islamabad during working hours.
2) Applicants can apply for more than one post as per qualification requirements. However, separate application has to be submitted for each post.
3) Applicants shall submit their applications alongwith attested copies of all Educational/Technical certificate/documents, experience certificate, character certificate, domicile, CNIC, 02 fresh passport size photographs & 02 envelops with postal address & register stamp which shall be delivered in the office of undersigned through registered post/courier services/by-hand within 20 days after the date of issue of advertisement.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR CANDIDATES:
Eligibility of candidates shall be determined on the basis of applicant’s qualification, experience, practical test and interview.
5)Incomplete applications as well as received after due date shall not be entertained.
6) Candidate to whom final transcript has not been issued are not eligible to apply.
7) Roll No. slip containing the information regarding test center, timing and date shall be dispatched at provided postal address before the practical test/interview.
Original documents must be presented by the candidates at the time of interview.
8) 9) The service is purely on contract basis and no regularization in future.
10) The candidates selected shall be required:-
- i) To pass prescribed medical examination
- ii) To be cleared by Security Agencies.
11) The following quota will also be observed:-
- i) 5% quota is fixed for minorities/non Muslims in all categories.
- ii) 1% quota is fixed for Orphans in all categories.
- iii) 10% quota is fixed for ex: servicemen.
- iv) 20% quota for son/daughter of Railways employees including 2% fixed for son/daughter of Railways deceased employees.
12) In case, any information furnished by candidate is found fake or bogus, the candidature of that candidate shall stand cancelled and legal action shall be taken accordingly.
13) No TA/DA will be admissible.
14) The competent authority reserves the right to reject any application/applications without assigning any reason and may also alter the number of vacancies.
15) Only short listed candidates will be called for Test/ Interview
WEIGHTAGE FOR SELECTION: 60% Practical Test, 40% Interview.
